Gogyohka-Thursday [62]

halls of brilliant, modern white

first I wanted a camera

then a notebook

then my best friend

to walk in the stillness with

P.S. I can't tell if I want it to be "walk in the stillness with " or "break the stillness with" ... You tell me- can I have both? ;-)

  1. 'walk in the stillness'
    sounds a little more.......poetic, fluid I guess.
we wish you could have both though ;)

  2. Walking in the stillness. To break wish it seems harsh. To talk in it makes you and your friend a part of the art. :-)

  3. Mmm, yes, "walk in the stillness" is more poetic, D.N. :-) (me too... ;-) :-))

And that's exactly what I thought- J.T.- "break" sounds harsh... and I like the harmonic imagine of two friends walking in stillness *together* ... but... to the extent that the poem is not imagination/poetic license but a reflection of an actual experience- some of the rooms weren't so "sanctuary" like and were actually frightening- and then I wished for a friend who'd break the echoing of my own two feet. 'guess that needs its own poem. :-)
