Mocking Seas

they are mocking me
those raging seas
breaking on the shore
they're asking me to play with them
they're enticing, "Don't you want more?"
but they are cruel, I know it
they take only lovers in their arms
me they would spit back on the rocks
unloved, so fit to harm
